The previous steel string Dolphin model was based on the first design made for Uwe Kropinski.
The first new steel string Dolphin has been made in November 2003.
It has a similar body design as our Selmer style guitar, but features an unique topplate design and body construction but also the Scharpach-style double-soundholes.
The guitar produces a different quality of tone then most flattops would do or like a Selmer would sound (typical midrange, almost nasal). It is very suitable for playing Brazilian style, Jazz or any Folk style music and sounds both great played with pick or finger style.
